COMMUNITY NOTESAt the Peaks Island Children’s Workshop . Wednesday, Nov. 26, 12 pm - Stone Soup Luncheon; Everyone is invited to the 21st annual Stone Soup Thanksgiving Feast to create and eat soup made from a stone! Saturday, Dec. 6, from 9 am to 2 pm at the Inn on Peaks Island to benefit the Loretta Voyer Fund, which provides car ferry tickets to island residents with cancer so they can travel more easily to and from their hospital treatments. The December Craft Fair is an annual fundraiser for this worthy cause, and features hundreds of hand made items for sale including jewelry, hand sewn linens, cards, paintings, hand knits, clothing, painting and more. It's a perfect way to do some of your holiday shopping here on Peaks Island. We'll end the day with a drawing for the many raffle items donated by the craftsmen. AT THE ADDISON-WOOLLEY GALLERY The Addison Woolley Gallery and Center for Photographic Inquiry is located at 87 Market Street, Portland. Open Tuesday thru Friday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday 11 a.m to 4 p.m. There is usually a Poetry and Jam night sometime during each month; check the website to find out the schedule.
