NEW PEAKS ISLAND POLICE FORCE -

Officer Patrick Connolly
Patrick Connolly was born and raised in Haverhill, MA. He served in
the Massachusetts National Guard and is a graduate of Northeastern
University. He worked for the California Highway Patrol for six years
before joining the Portland Police Department. He has been a Portland
Police Officer for over four years. Patrick is married and has three
children.













 

Officer Robert Lauterbach
Officer Lauterbach has been a Portland Police Officer for over a year,
and was a NYPD Officer for four years. Officer Lauterbach is an EMT-B
and is fire trained and is now stationed on Peaks Island. Rob is married
and has a one year old boy.


 

  

 
 





Officer Chris Hawley
Is an 18 year veteran of the Portland Police department, he holds a
B.S. in Public Service Administration from the University of Lowell. He
has an EMT-B certification from the state of Maine, is part of the
Portland police department's C.I.T. program, Also a member of the
Portland Police Dive Team. During his 18 years of service Officer Hawley
has been awarded citations of Bravery, Heroism and as been recognized

Officer Cynthia Rumrey-Taylor
Officer Rumrey-Taylor has been a Portland Police Officer since 1987.
She has been assigned to many different units through out her career.
Most recently she was the School Resource Officer for PATHS school.
Officer Taylor is a certified school resource officer, as well as a
Crisis intervention officer for persons with mental illness. Officer
Rumery-Taylor is an EMT-B and is fire trained and is now stationed on
Peaks Island.

Officer Les Smith
Les was hired by the City of South Portland in 1988 as a Police
Officer. He served as a Patrolman, Detective and K-9 Handler with K-9
Rico. In 1998 Les and Rico decided to make a change and applied to
Portland Police Department. Les has served in Portland as a K-9 Handler
(still with K-9 Rico), Community Policing Officer, bike patrol, gang
enforcement and drove the arrest wagon. In 2000 Les was awarded "Law Officer of the Year" through the 40 & 8 (a national group of veterans
that have fought in foreign wars) He and his family were flown to
Georgia for a 40 & 8 national gathering to receive this award.
He is an EMT-B, had fire training and is currently assigned to Peaks
Island.



Officer Daniel Rose
Officer Rose has been a Portland Police Officer for 11 years and has
been assigned as a patrol man on several different units. He was one of
the first officers in the West End Policing Center. Officer Rose has
been a member of the Special Reaction Team for three years and is an
EMT-B and fire trained and is now assigned to Peaks Island. Danny is
married and has two children ten and five months old.

Officer Randolph Richardson
Officer Richardson has been a Portland Police Officer for 27 years. He
has been in the Police Dive Team for seven years and is a licensed
Animal Control Officer. Officer Richardson is an EMT-B and is fire
trained, he has been stationed on Peaks Island on and off since 1988
.

Officer Thomas O'Connor
Officer O'Connor has been a Portland Police for 19 years; he has been
assigned to several shifts including the Gang Enforcement Unit. Officer
O'Connor is an EMT-B and is fire trained and is now stationed on Peaks
Island. Tom is married and has one child.
